Nursery Nurse

Our Client are looking to employ a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurse for their quality Day Nursery based near Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria. The relevant Nursery Nurse must be passionate, enthusiastic and driven to give young children the best early years educationand care needed for their development.

**What is required**
- NNEB or BTEC Nat Dip or CACHE Dip in Childcare or NVQ level 3 or SVQ
- 2 years previous experience working and caring for children under 5, ideally within an early year’s setting
- Passion to deliver high quality childcare and exciting learning opportunities

**Key Responsibilities**
- Excellent communication skills with children, colleagues and parents in a calm, positive and caring manner
- Responsibilities, following up upon completion and guiding/ training new staff to adequate working level
- The ability to work with children and their families in a sensitive and positive way
- Planning and organizational skills
- Basic IT skills
- To deal with the children’s physical and emotional requirements with care and sympathy
- Take responsibility for a designated group of children
- To maintain a professional, courteous and friendly relationship with the parents and to respect the confidentiality regarding any information which might be given
- To follow all reasonable instructions given be the nursery manager and/or room leader which are directed towards the smooth running of the nursery and your allocated group
- To ensure that a positive approach to the children in their general treatment and in matters of discipline is displayed at all times
