We are seeking somebody with food and beverage / hospitality experience to complement our team. Experience in these sectors is essential.

You will work closely with the company directors to ensure The London Art Bar runs smoothly, ensuring it is a top destination in the Holborn area for our wide range of events, and developing our offering for after work drinks.

**The role will include**:
**Operational Management -**

**1. Premises management**: including managing security, deliveries, ensuring maintenance & cleaning of premises/facilities/utilities/equipment and disposal of waste, and effective opening & closing procedures.

**2. Food & beverage supplies management**: including stock control, ordering & deliveries, effective management to ensure consistent quality, rotation & levels of stock, and maintaining relationships with key suppliers.

**3. Food & beverage service and delivery management**: Working on the bar, and supporting and supervising of bar staff for consistent, high quality service and product delivery

**4. Team leadership** - including effective staff rota management, supporting recruitment and training of bar staff, and facilitating best practice among events team.

**5. Equipment management**: overseeing the maintenance of equipment, reporting any issue in a timely manner, following up diligently, particularly with any issue which might impact on health and safety obligations.

**6. Overseeing H&S and licence compliance**: maintaining, monitoring and enhancing the highest standards of hygiene and H&S in accordance with all statutory, legal and company requirements (including all relevant registrations).

**7. Operating processes & systems**: ongoing reviewing & implementing effective processes & systems including SOPs, H&S procedures and cash & expense handling

**8. Providing an excellent guest experience**:greeting and serving guests and ensuring the highest customer care standards from across the team

**9. Supporting events management & delivery** of on-site events and experiences

**10. Contribute to the future development of The London Art Bar **in collaboration with the wider team.

**The ideal applicant will have experience of working in a food and beverages / hospitality and will demonstrate**:
1. Two years or more experience working in hospitality and/or food hygiene, preferably including management of a bar, restaurant or café

2. Understanding of all relevant health and safety and legal requirements for the operation of a food and beverage establishment, and relevant qualifications in hospitality and food hygiene/safety

3. Experience managing and rostering staff in a dynamic/pressurised hospitality environment

4. Experience of budget management and cost control in a hospitality setting

5. Work calmly under pressure and be able to multitask

6. Communicate clearly and effectively, both in person and in writing

7. Work well in a team and supporting and motivating team members, as well as providing regular team development

8. Maintain a can-do attitude and be solution-focussed

9. Demonstrate ability to use judgement and make evidence based, reasonable and timely decisions and proposals

10. Familiarity with standard IOS bar tools, Microsoft Office systems and standard events tech

11. A genuine desire to provide the best customer experience, constantly reviewing and evolving performance both personally and across the team

**The role will report to the Director of Marketing & Business Development and be accountable to Managing Director.**

**Salary will be c. £40-45k pro rata.**
