We are recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer of industrial adhesives and sealants, for a Senior Chemist to join their site based in West Midlands. As a Senior Chemist, you will develop, formulate, and evaluate new polymer technologies and assistin the transfer of new technologies into full scale production.

To be considered for this role, you will have a degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science or Materials Science, and around 7-10 years' experience developing and formulating polyurethanes and be well-practiced in successfully taking new products from laboratoryscale to full scale production.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, formulate, and evaluate new polymer technologies, assisting in the transfer of new technologies into full scale production
- Evaluate the current product portfolio, looking at ways to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs, whilst improving chemical and physical properties
- Work with suppliers to source prospective raw materials, and test these to check suitability
- Support all QC activities including developing SOPs and related documentation

Knowledge and Experience:

- Qualified to a minimum of BSc in Chemistry, Polymer Science or Materials Science
- 7-10 years' experience developing and formulating polyurethanes and be well-practiced in successfully taking new products from laboratory scale to full scale production.
- Familiar with raw material supply chain within the polyurethane industry
