**Maintenance Fitter**

I am currently recruiting on behalf of my internationally known client, based in Matlock, Derbyshire, for an experienced apprentice trained or time-served **Maintenance Fitter **with skills in Mechanical Work to join their existing team on a full-time, permanent contract.

**The Role**:

- Control downtime of plant and equipment by informing and educating production employees of routine preventative maintenance and monitor compliance.
- Locate the source of problems and provide the required intervention where applicable
- Remove and replace defective parts using various equipment as applicable i.e. hoists, cranes, hand power tools etc.
- Maintain a safe and clean operating environment at all times by complying with site policies, procedures and processes.
- Provide continued support and advice to management and colleagues.

**Hours, Holiday & Pay**:

- Starting salary of £31179.20
- Afternoon uplift of 15% = £2338.44
- O/T expected to fulfill 6am to 3pm shift to include a Saturday morning (6am to 12pm) = £6430.71
- OTE £39948.35
- 32 days holiday (including statutory holidays)

**About you**:

- Experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing or engineering setting would be highly advantageous but not a deal breaker.
- Apprentice trained or time served relevant experience.
- A flexible and positive can-do attitude i.e. solution focused.
- A conscientious team player who can act independently and add value to the Multi-skilled team.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £31,179.20-£39,948.35 per year
