In your role as a Data Analytics Specialist, you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in data analysis and project controls to provide valuable insights and support strategic decision-making. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize project performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to transform complex data into actionable recommendations.

**What you will be doing**:
In this role your duties will include:

- Design and develop insightful reports, dashboards, and visualisations to present project performance metrics using PowerBI and other toolsets.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret project data to identify trends, patterns, and potential risks.
- Perform data quality checks, validate data integrity, and identify data gaps or anomalies.
- Collaborate with Programme teams to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Communicate complex data findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
- Escalate the capabilities, competencies and training gaps needed by the wider project management community to support Project Data Analytics.
- Provide expert guidance to teams and able to coach and develop others in Project Controls.

- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g. PowerBI, Python, SQL, VBA/Excell).
- Qualified to degree level or equivalent.
- Familiarity with project controls principles, project management methodologies, and industry standards.
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis, data visualization, and reporting techniques.
- Exposure to wider project management processes and understanding of how the specialism influences and is integrated to the project/programme/portfolio.
- Able to solve complex problems and has experience of a wide range of problem-solving techniques.
- Can clearly demonstrate previous experience of their specialism and how it has influenced project outcome delivery.
