Job description
MENTAL HEALTH LEAD (SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT FUNDED)
35 HOURS PER WEEK - CROSS CAMPUS
FIXED TERM TO END OF JUNE 2024
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and creative individual to lead, coordinate and contribute to the development of a high-quality programme, aimed at assisting Glasgow Clyde College students and staff to tackle stigma and discrimination around mental health and wellbeing.
The post-holder will agree the vision and direction of the Colleges Mental Health and Wellbeing provision and lead and supervise teams of Counsellors, Safeguarders and Mental Health First Aiders.
- Experience and understanding of supporting people with mental health issues
- A good understanding of the key issues relating to mental health
- The ability to deliver mental health training to staff and students
- The ability to develop mental health support resources
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to manage and prioritise a complex workload and display creative problem solving skills
