Skateboard and Scooter Coach

Team Rubicon are the UK's leading provider of action sports coaching and through schools and councils nationwide, we teach over 100,000 children every year how to skate and scoot. We also run the biggest series of residential holiday camps, as well as help councils and organisations with skatepark events and training.
A significant part of what we do is focused on promoting healthy active lifestyles and positive mental attitudes in young people - as well as greener, more sustainable ways to travel.
With skateboardings inclusion in the Olympics and millions of children and adults using scooters to travel to/from school and work - there has never been a better time to harness these sports for positive change.
We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable people to join our team of regional instructors to deliver skateboard or scooter sessions at schools and council events across the country. Previous skateboard or scooter experience is helpful but not crucial as you will receive training before starting. This is initially a 5 month contract running April to September but there may be opportunities to go full time depending on job availability.
**Essential Requirements**
- You must have a driving license and a car.
- You must have a clear passion and drive to inspire young people through sport.
- You must be reliable and professional at all times when interacting with young people, teachers and parents.
- You must be able to clearly communicate in a fun and engaging manner with young people - and a professional and articulate way with organisers.
- You must understand that the job requires daily travelling to different locations and will involve hotel stays away from home. (All hotels and petrol costs are covered by Team Rubicon and you will also receive a food allowance)
- You must have no criminal convictions, cautions or other offences.
- You must have a mobile phone with access to internet.
- You must have a DBS certificate before starting work. (This can be organised by Team Rubicon if needed)
**Desirable**
- Previous experience working with young people.
- Previous experience coaching sports.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Coaching Certificates
**Salary**: From £1,600.00 per month
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
