Reassured Ltd is the largest non-advised life insurance intermediary in the UK with established locations in Basingstoke, Portsmouth, Southampton, Manchester, Bristol, Bournemouth and Chester.
We launched our new Advised business offering in 2021 and continue to grow our sales and support teams across the entire business this year. We arrange over 15,000 new customer life insurance policies per month with leading sales conversions and customersatisfaction metrics. The business is outbound, B2C sales from internet generated customer enquiries.
An Accounts Clerk performs a variety of accounting duties. Responsibilities include reviewing and reconciling accounts, processing payments to external partners and maintaining updated records of invoices and receipts. Working closely with your team, ensuringthat you process all financial transactions accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Entry of all commission receipts and supplier invoices for 2 trading entities.
- Ownership of group bank reconciliation
- Preparation of weekly pay-runs to suppliers, and processing these in the bank
- Assistance in preparation of quarterly VAT returns
- Main point of contact for supplier queries
- Assistance to the Finance manager during the month end close process
- Ownership of the structure and integrity of the accounts information held with Sage accounts
- Processing prepared journals
- Reconciling intercompany loan accounts
- Ensure adequate standards of financial control are maintained efficiently for the company, including the accurate recording of day to day accounting entries.
- Build and maintain solid relationships across all departments of the company.
- Promoting a 'Continuous Improvement’ culture within the department.
**Qualifications**
Essential Skills
- Proven work experience as an Accounts Administrator or similar role
- Good knowledge of bookkeeping procedures
- Hands-on experience with accounting software
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (using financial formulas and creating spreadsheets)
- Solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors
- Good organizational and time-management abilities
Key Competencies
- Experience working in an accounts department
- Management of own workload and deadlines
- Sage line 50 software
