**Requirements**:
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Buyer to join us (ideally with CAPEX knowledge). As a CAPEX Buyer you will work closely with key Stakeholders within Saint-Gobain across the UK and Ireland to understand their CAPEX projects. You will adopta collaborative approach and ensure the cost effective supply of materials, services and equipment to fulfil project needs. Projects could range from minor improvements through to multi-million £ full site developments.
You will advise Stakeholders on their purchasing and supply options, you will coordinate and define strategies that will result in a successful conclusion.
You will take a lead and ownership of multiple projects and be influential in price/contract negotiations, supplier relationships and supplier selection. You will be commercially astute, exploring new supplier cost effective options, whilst not compromisingon quality.
**W hat skills and experience are we looking for?**
- An experienced Buyer, ideally with CAPEX project knowledge
- CIPS qualified or studying towards
- Communication and relationship management skills
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to plan lead, organize, and multi-task several capital projects at one time.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work in a cross-functional Procurement team
- Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative
- Must be customer focused, self-motivated, and results oriented.
