This role is for a Sleever Technical Operator.

The shift pattern will consist of both dayshifts and nightshifts of 12 hours.

As Sleever/Labeller Technical Operator, you will support the development and implementation of Company strategy, champion best practice in the workplace and act as a driver for change and continuous improvement. Under the direction of the Lead Technical Operator, you will proactively perform technical and operational duties to ensure customer orders are fulfilled while also ensuring the highest standard of food safety and quality.

**Responsibilities**:

- Set up sleever in a timely and accurate manner and vigilantly monitor machine operation for signs of impending problems, addressing any problems promptly to minimise downtime.
- Liaise with lead technical operator when critical issues regarding product non-conformance, safety and/or production issues arise.
- Promote accident prevention on your line by adhering to all safety guidelines and standards, ensuring that the correct PPE is being worn at all times and encourage active participation in all required training. Report any safety accidents/incidents to H & S Officer / QSE Manager and identify, communicate and eliminate potential hazards.
- Carry out quality checks in accordance with laid down procedures and inform lead technical operator / QSE Technicians promptly of any doubtful or unusual findings. If the integrity of the pack/bottle is suspect, the machinery should be shut down pending further investigation.
- Actively investigate faults ensuring root cause is determined and follow up on actions to sustain improvements. In the event of routine/standard breakdowns across the entire production line, address and repair any problems promptly to minimise downtime. In the case of non-standard faults escalate to lead technical operator.
- Responsible for maintaining documentation associated with operations and ensure that all monitoring systems required by the Company are completed accurately in accordance with laid down quality procedures.
- Conduct basic routine maintenance of your machine and ensure that procedures are followed accurately and that all necessary paperwork is completed.
- Undertake tasks and projects from time to time as may be reasonably required of you by Management in connection with your duties, e.g. participation in major maintenance projects in conjunction with the maintenance team.
- Manage waste to ensure that wastage of product is kept to a minimum and that paper/bottle wastage is also minimised. Ensure machine shutdowns are performed at the correct times as per schedule.

**Essential Criteria**:

- 2 years previous machine experience alongside mechanical breakdowns
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Problem solving experience
- 1 years management support experience

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
