Fp&a Accountant

Marks Sattin are currently working with a Goole based business to assist in the recruitment of a FP&A Accountant to join a small but growing Commercial team. The business are looking for somebody newly qualified with analytical experience.

Reporting into the FP&A Manager, this role will deliver financial support to commercial and operational activities across the business. Principle objectives will be to improve decision making and drive continuous improvement in all operational areas andprovide focused analysis to the sales & marketing teams. The role will require excellent data analysis and excel skills, with the ability to react quickly to the changing needs of the business.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Commercial_

- Reporting on weekly and monthly sales and contribution reports throughout the business providing accurate and timely numbers along with explanations for any variances.
- Assisting with volume forecasting process, as well as budgeting and forecasting of standard margin and factory variances.
- Reporting on sales promotional and marketing support activities, providing financial analysis to support decision making and retrospective performance analysis.
- Supporting and amending price lists, including providing administrative support to the commercial team for price list update and promotional activity.
- Evaluating potential new business to ensure appropriate levels of contribution are received.
- Operational_

- Evolving and running the factory performance monitoring systems and producing factory KPI's, working closely with the factory manager.
- Undertaking product costing exercises.
- Ensuring the business complies with packaging use requirements and climate change regulations.
- Assisting in the identification and reporting of cost saving and profit improvement initiatives in the operations environment (continuous improvement).
- Managing the businesses stock control and accounting procedure, along with the Stock Master file data in all company systems.
