**ABOUT YOU**

We currently have a vacancy for a Life Skills Specialist who will be responsible for developing and overseeing the Applecross Nursing Homes Life Skills programme. You will be responsible for person-centred planning for each resident This includes creating activities which supports mobility, social contact, skills development, and a variety of educational activities which support independence so each and every one of our residents can thrive and live to their full potential.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Collaborate with nursing and other senior staff including OT and physio staff to assess the strengths and capabilities of residents in relation to activities of daily living.
- Ensure that any risk assessments have been carried out prior to any new planned social activity or event.
- Maintain, and update daily, appropriate written records of resident’s assessments, resident’s participation and social activity evaluations in line with Applecross Nursing Home’s Care Profile guidelines.
- Take a dynamic and confident lead in the home to promote the benefits of Life Skills and social interaction by contributing ideas to the Senior Team to ensure that a varied and imaginative weekly plan is available that meets the needs and capabilities of all the residents.

**WE REQUIRE THE FOLLOWING**
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Social media marketing: 2 years (required)
- A good understanding of paid social media marketing and how to yield results.
- Ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the required social media metrics to build brand awareness, and how to monitor them
- IT skills including experience with Office 365
- Intermediate-level experience with Adobe Photoshop
- Intermediate level experience with graphic design platforms such as Canva.
- A creative approach with ideas
- Good written and verbal communication skills
