- _are recruiting for a Master Fryer within a leading snack food manufacturer in the heart of Leicester, it’s a great opportunity to join a fast growing business and to work within a great site which has been heavily invested in over the past 3 years.

**ROLE PURPOSE**:

- To operate the fryers in accordance with stated procedures and ensure that production plans are met.
- To be able to effectively manage the Factory in the absence of the Chip Line Leader
- Liaise with the production team to ensure communication and corrective action are taken in the event of any out of specification results.
- To ensure that all aspects of the stated operations agenda are met with regard to Quality, Profit, Risk, Supply and Team development.
- Assist with defined quality control checks ensuring that all standards are maintained and the product integrity is maintained.
- Hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained to the highest levels shown on visual standards

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Complete stated safety pre-start checks and start up process
- Ensure adherence to site PPE requirements
- To operate according to specified personnel hygiene standards
- Intake process and potato standards
- Oil management
- Boil out and cleaning process
- Ensure standard operating procedures are followed to ensure product quality
- To be available to operate the fryers according to agreed schedules
- To run fryers to specified output rates
- Clean the plant as scheduled, ensuring that agreed cleaning standards are met
- To ensure the correct usage of materials
- To complete documentation showing wastage, downtime, run time and output
- Ensure accurate booking of potatoes and oil
- Maintain quality control paperwork / worksheets
- Receive / provide handover to colleague on opposite shift
- Clean as You Go, keep Housekeeping in area to an acceptable standard
- Provide assistance where required to colleagues
- Sundries replenishment / inventory control
- Support production where product workload allows and maintain a clean, organised working environment
- Perform lock-off before attempting to dismantle any part of the machine
- Monitor colour of cooked chips against colour chart

**MEASURES FOR SUCCESS**:

- Performance: Performance is maintained at target (or better) consistently each period for:

- Effective communication to ensure a constant supply of Oil and Potatoes
- Zero product issues due to product quality and consistency
- Adherence to the shift throughputs
- Paperwork / worksheets completed at all times in real time
- Safety, Quality, Food Safety and Hygiene compliance
- Effective communications within team and other departments.
- Customer Conformance and requirements met
- Satisfactory Customer audits / Visits

**KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE**
- Snack food experience, QC preferable
- BRC & AIB knowledge
- Good level of English both verbal and written.
- Good communication Skills
- Able to motivate and develop high performing teams
- Ability to work proactively with mínimal direct guidance
- Ability to think strategically
- Ability to grow cross functional relationships and to influence outside of immediate sphere of control
- Root Cause Problem Solving skills

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Ideally Level 2 Food Hygiene Training
- HACCP awareness

**Shift;** Night Shift; 18:00 - 06:00 - 4 on / 4 off.
