An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual with some experience in Paediatric and Adult Orthoptics wishing to join our friendly team of Orthoptists for shifts via the Staff Bank.

You will have a varied and interesting workload with the opportunity to work alongside Ophthalmologists who are experts in their field including Strabismologists, Paediatric Ophthalmologists, Neuro Ophthalmologists and more. The shifts will include single-handed Clinics at our Community Paediatric sites as well as at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, which is a tertiary referral centre. Experience and HCPC registration are essential.
- Provide timely Orthoptic and visual field services at Addenbrooke’s NHS Trust and off site Community Services, including Specialist Orthoptic Services.
- Participate in extended scope clinical roles.
- Personally deliver clinical supervision and instruction to Orthoptists, undergraduate Orthoptists and other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to departmental teaching, research and audit.
- Ensure that the policies and procedures of the Department of Orthoptics and Addenbrooke’s NHS Trust are adhered to.
