Hopwood Court is a day service provision. We offer support to adults with Learning Disabilities & Autism. Some of our service users have behaviours that challenge and many have complex needs. We also provide a small day service provision for service users with a diagnosis of dementia.

We are currently recruiting for Casual Domestic Assistants who will compliment our team, working alongside the staff team.

It is crucial that we get the right person, with the right skills, behaviours, core values & attributes to contribute to the success of our service.

**Purpose of the Role**:
Working in a service accessed by individuals, carers and families, often in difficult social circumstances. This includes individuals with learning disability, dementia and other disabilities.

The Domestic Assistant will undertake a range of tasks as required to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.

The Domestic Assistant will work as part of a team, duties undertaking domestic tasks to support the kitchen staff or cleaning tasks.

To uphold the rights and dignity of service users accessing the day centre.

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- General Cleaning Duties
- Knowledge of COSHH
- Knowledge of Heath and Safety.
- Knowledge of Infection Prevention Control
- Use of cleaning equipment, e.g. Carpet Cleaner.
- Knowledge of Hopwood Ct service user group
- Work alongside other Provider Services

As Domestic Assistant you will be very much part of the wider Adult Social Care Team as well as working with a range of local community services, offering you the opportunity to enhance a person’s quality of life.
