**The Role**

Mita Logistics are recruiting for an experienced Transport planner to work on a full time basis, Monday to Friday.

**Experience**
- Planning of UK transport and deliveries
- Building effective customer relationships
- Sourcing loads for outbound and return deliveries
- Competent in computer systems, spreadsheets and data reporting
- Calm problem solving and decision making skills
- Geographical knowledge
- CPC holder desirable but not essential

**Main Responsibilities**
- Planning workloads to maximise vehicles productivity and profitability within legal parameters
- Working closely with customers, suppliers and drivers, scheduling deliveries, providing critical updates and ensuring efficient running of the operation.
- Brief drivers with customer requirements, correct paperwork and booking times, and maintain ongoing communication.
- Ensuring accurate and complete records are kept
- Ensuring fleet is readily available for routine maintenance.
- Monitoring compliance and driver hours
- Compiling data and completing reports for Managers and Directors
