**ROLE OF SPECIALIST JOINERY DRIVER**

Specialist Commercial Joinery Ltd employs 27 full-time staff, with trades such as Veneering, Finishing, and Solid surfaces all being carried out in-house. We manufacture a wide range of specialist joinery from traditional hardwood and veneer to contemporary laminated and post-formed solid surface work.

Based in Billericay, Essex, we manufacture bespoke joinery for repeat clients in high-quality interior installations ranging from Office and Commercial Interiors to high-end Residential fit-outs, all predominately repeat work from our client base.

**Position Overview**:
You will play a very important and vital role representing the Company by ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to our sites. You will be responsible for operating a commercial vehicle in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and customer service.

**Responsibilities**:

- Safely operate our commercial vehicles - Citroen Relay 35 Heavy L4H3 Panel Vans
- Transport manufactured joinery to various UK destinations, including Central London, following assigned routes and schedules with occasional trips to Continental Europe
- Loading & unloading, ensuring proper handling and securement
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery logs and records
- Communicate effectively with team members and site staff
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional appearance at all times
- 39 hours per week as a minimum - overtime may be required with early mornings and late finishes required as deemed necessary dependent on schedule
- Mon-Thur 7:30am-4:00pm, Fri 7:30am-3:00pm as a minimum

**Qualifications**:

- Valid full clean driver's license
- Clean driving record with no major endorsements
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Knowledge of transportation regulations
- Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and safety consciousness
- Reliable, flexible, and punctual with a strong work ethic
