**Assembly Technician**

**Location**: Spalding, Lincolnshire

**Salary**: £12 - £14 per hour

**Working Hours**: 8:00 - 16:30

Our client is an agricultural machinery manufacturer, specializing in seed drills and min tillage equipment.

The company are looking to build a second assembly line here in Lincolnshire. They are looking for assembly technicians to join their friendly team; ideally with immediate start in 2023.

**The Role**

The role will include assembly work, handling and locating stock, final fit and finish of machines before they leave to the customer.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Picking stock items to complete the production orders
- Checking parts against drawings for latest revision
- Following documentation and assembly procedures as supplied
- Assembling all components of the machine being built
- Ensuring customer orders are processed in timely manner and meeting quality standards
- Taking care with handling painted items and correcting any marks or imperfections
- Inspecting own work before passing it on to next stage of production
- Solving quality issues - feedback of repeating issues
- Efficient use and management of stock and materials
- Machine maintenance, basic service and problem solving
- General housekeeping of allocated production areas
- Monitor allocated inventory of raw materials and components for manufacture
- Communicate with team members to ensure manufacturing schedules are achieved
- Adhering to health and safety regulations
- Packaging of parts for dispatch

**Role Requirements**:
Essential:

- Ability to measure accurately
- Ability to use battery and hand operated tools safely
- Experience working with big machinery and safe handling procedures
- Good understanding of technical drawings
- Ability to work on own initiative with ‘can do’ attitude and willing to learn
- Forklift experience essential
- IT literate

Desired:

- Experience of electrical problem solving
- Understanding of CNC principles
- Forklift license
- Adaptability to change
- Assembly experience
- Driving license
