**JOB DESCRIPTION AND PERSON SPECIFICATION FOR THE POST OF Employment Officer - Supported Internship**

There are 10 Supported Internship Sites across Greater Manchester, they are
- **Manchester Airport, Salford Royal, Salford University, Stepping Hill Stockport, Manchester City Council, Trafford General Hospital, Wythenshawe Hospital, Digital Manchester, MFT Hospital and Media City**

To Support the Growth and Development of this Project we are looking to recruit an additional Employment Officer Post may need to work across all sites when needed as directed. his is an excellent opportunity to develop a wide range of skills working alongside a well-established team who are already engaging with Large Employer’s and Education Partners while supporting 10 young people on each site to progress into sustainable paid employment.

**Main purpose of the Job**:
Project lead an established Supported Internship Programme within Greater Manchester for 10 young people with Learning Disabilities in partnership with a host employer and an educational partner.

This will include organising rotational placements for Interns that match their aspirations, talents and skills with the intension of securing paid employment as their long-term outcome.

50% minimum job outcomes will be achieved within set timescales through a process of profiling, job matching, marketing, training and monitoring.

**Summary of Responsibilities**

Plan and prioritise personal targets and activities towards achieving agreed business aims and managing personal time and productivity.

Maximise client independence by providing suitable training in systematic instruction methods

Work in partnership with Local Authority, College, Parents & Carers and other organisations

Work closely with the Host employer to ensure the project relationship is sustainable and meets their business needs and corporate responsibility objectives.

Establish relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers within the partner organisations and external employers

Promote understanding of the Pure Innovations methods and procedural systems to ensure that employers and partner organisations understand what is required to employ a diverse workforce

Carry out quality checks to ensure that the project records and maintains accurate relevant written documentation i.e. weekly reports, risk assessments, individual and employer records etc., this will be done either manually or on computer

Adhere to GDPR regulations and company policy and procedures to ensure that sensitive information and data is stored and disposed of in an appropriate manner

Line management of a job coach

Uphold, understand and adhere to all policies and procedures identified by Pure Innovations Ltd

**Person Specification**

Ability to produce high quality reports, presentations and other documents/literature

Be self-motivated and an enthusiastic worker with high energy levels and an ability to work under pressure

Awareness and commitment to anti-discriminatory practice

Imaginative/creative approaches to the integration of people with disabilities into local community

Willingness to raise any concerns with senior management regard to abuse or mistreatment

Ability to be flexible in terms of working hours to meet the needs of the business

Implement safeguarding best practice across all areas of the business and show commitment to safeguarding Young People and Adults at risk

Current driving licence and willing to drive on business

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 35 per week

**Salary**: £24,067.00 per year
