Testers - assemble The role of a tester at Razor is an important one and one that requires a unique alchemy of traits - just like the ones you have.

You have to do this in such a way that the developers appreciate your criticism, a tricky task indeed - but this is you all over.

With a meticulous attention to detail, a penchant for preventing issues by highlighting the potential and an uncanny ability to plan and execute at speed.

You are able to work well in a team and understand constraints. When we say team, we don’t just mean a team of testers, we mean a diverse team of engineers, designers, project managers, UX designers, data engineers and data scientists (oh yeah, enjoy testing that ML model ;-)

We think that you get the gist - now on to the lists of what we are after, then after that, have a spin around our site and see if you can find the easter eggs.

Our next tester will have experience in:

- Collaborate with all areas of the delivery team to identify and understand project requirements
- Writing test scenarios covering the project requirements
- Experience of using test techniques, such as:Boundary Value Analysis (BVA)

Equivalence Class Partitioning
Decision Table Based Testing
State Transition
Error Guessing
- Performing Functional and exploratory testing in line with the project delivery goals
- Awareness of the impact to the end user in all testing performed
- Logging of test executions and tracking bugs
- Supporting the investigation and troubleshooting of issues and non conforming software
- Strong attention to detail
- Collaborate with relevant experts throughout the duration of a project
- Security testing (awareness)
- Agree and follow Test Standards and sharing of test best practices
- Awareness of a range of Testing Tools and when to use them

**Specific qualifications/experience**
- To be a confident and competent tester
- Completed or working towards ISTQB Certified Tester foundation level or equivalent
- Continued professional development with active participation in the Skills Matrix and Training Courses.

**What languages do we use?** If you haven’t already noticed, we are a Microsoft shop. Our primary language is C# so much of the automated testing is in C#. We do use a variety of languages and frameworks for testing though so have no fear

**Where are you again?** We have offices in Sheffield and Leeds. We offer flexible and hybrid working, but it's also important for us that we have the human connection, build super strong relationships and bounce ideas off each other, so would love to see you in the office too #people-first

**Salary**: From £25,000.00 per year
