**About the Employer**

Chaps IT was founded in 2009, we started in the IT consultancy sector building solutions for all different types & sizes of businesses. This ranged from server installations, cloud migrations & backup solutions. At the time of installing the new equipmentwe found that the businesses we were working for had no plans of what to do with their old "redundant" IT assets.

Chaps IT Recycling LTD was founded in 2020, our primary aim is to reduce waste by refurbishing redundant IT assets collected from businesses & sectors all across the UK. Whilst data security remains at most paramount, our purpose designed facility ensuresfrom collection to secure data destruction your IT assets are handled with the security required to ensure compliance with GDPR & the data protection act.

**About the role**

Chaps IT are a growing Sheffield based business who are are on the lookout for a talented and passionate IT and mobile device technician.

This role would suit somebody who particularly loves working with hardware as the primary responsibility would be to refurbish & process IT devices. This would include following and developing processes for a wide range of office and private tech, to prepareit for resale in the public market.

The role will involve hands on work with IT assets from mobile phones and tablets, to printers, scanners, PCs and Macs. Receiving the items, processing and then refurbishing, ready for re-sale.

- Level 3 Information, Communications Technician:_

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship programme, you will achieve a Level 3 certification. You will also be able to receive professional RITTech recognition, as well as sitting some industry-recognised qualifications such as Microsoft and CompTIA.
