Allen Lane are delighted to be supporting Southwark Council in their search for two Digital Project Managers to join their ambitious and forward-thinking Technology and Digital Service. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex system and organisationredesign projects that will have a positive impact on the council’s residents and staff for years to come.

**The role**

The Technology Transformation Portfolio will oversee a vast amount of technology related change for Southwark over the next 12 months. This role will manage projects associated with delivery of the Microsoft 365 technologies, most importantly upgrading theinternal intranet to SharePoint, as well as other digital transformation initiatives including, assisting services with end-to-end business process re-design and improvement.

As a Digital project Manager you will:

- Be responsible for planning, managing, co-ordinating and reporting on activities to implement one or more projects from proposal to initiation to delivery including the transition into BAU
- Ensuring that projects are managed to realise business benefits.
- Managing the IT element of business wide projects.
- Managing project budgets in accordance with the Council’s financial procedures and standing orders.
- Ensuring that projects are delivered to scope, within budget and to agreed timeframes, prioritising the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability.
- Reporting regularly on project status, risks, issues and expenditure Developing and coordinating the creation and definition of the portfolio, programme and project management processes, procedures, tools, reporting and techniques.
- Working with multidisciplinary teams of stakeholders from a variety of business areas.

**Key Skills required**
- Extensive experience in managing multiple IT projects within a large organisation
- Risks, issues and assumptions identification and management
- Significant experience in building and sustaining relationship with business departments at a strategic level
- Team and resource management, including matrix management
- Working in a large, multi-functional organisation
- Ensuring that appropriate project management standards and procedures are followed
- Motivating project teams to deliver excellent services in all circumstances
- Management of costs within budget
- Communicating with stakeholders and facilitating analysis workshops
- Project delivery using multiple delivery methods; e.g. Waterfall, Agile
- Project Management of Dynamics 365 Implementations
