We are looking to Recruit for a Head of Procurement for our established successful company based in South Wales.

The role will be responsible, through the development of strong supplier relationships, for a strategic approach to the procurement and material management process. Accountable for all strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend,searching for exclusive deals and partnering with more profitable suppliers for the purchase of direct and indirect goods and services.

**Responsibilities**
- The effective leadership and management of a small team
- Develop, lead, and execute procurement strategies; establish, communicate, and implement long-term goals for the department to promote effectiveness and efficiency.
- Develop key relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve business
- Develop an understanding of product ranges, and the commercial and operational needs of target suppliers
- Perform all procurement and contracting activities including pre-qualification, tender management, negotiation, and preparation of contracts
- Oversee/forecast quantity and timing of deliveries aligned to working capital targets
- Monitor supply and demand and ensure adequate stock cover through outstanding supplier performance
- Ongoing market analysis to identify suppliers/sku ranges to target, build relationships with potential suppliers.
- Set policy and guidelines for delivering commercial and cost-effective procuring process for the business

Experience
- Relevant senior experience of supplier or client account development, with clear ability to demonstrate leadership experience
- Results-oriented, metrics-driven leader with expertise in purchasing, supplier collaboration, development, and compliance - or key account development
- Familiar with the design and development ofmulti-facetedB2B commercial arrangements
- Experience with sourcing and procurement
- Familiar with demand planning/inventory management
- Experience in FMCG environments, distribution or similar
- Degree level qualification
- Management experience in Supply Chain
