With a qualified therapist attached to the schools and a talented team of teachers dedicated to improving children’s lives we are well equipped to support young people with special educational needs.

The school offers bespoke education for children aged 6-16 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH), learning difficulties (LD) and mild learning difficulties (MLD). Young people with attachment difficulties, autism and ADHD have thrived in this learning environment.

The SENCO, under the direction of the headteacher, will:
1. To contribute to raising standards of student attainment

2. To share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for social, emotional and academic growth

3. Determine the strategic development of special educational needs (SEN) policy and provision in the school
4. Be responsible for day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability
5. Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and other agencies
6. To ensure all EHC Plans are followed and all provision delivery in Section F are adhered to.
7. Responsibility for all ILP’s, Reg plans.
8. Cover for some lessons where appropriate.
9. Attend and contribute to SLT meetings

**Salary**: Up to £38,551.50 dependent on experience and qualifications

Working 37.5 hours per week, 39 weeks of the year, plus 5 development days.
Pay 40 weeks, plus 12 weeks holiday pay, totalling 52 weeks, annualised and paid in 12 equal monthly payments
