Location: Harrow - Hybrid

**Salary**: £33,700 - £42,000 per annum + Work from home, pension, flexible working

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Adviser to join our client based in Harrow. The role is on a 3-month fixed term contract on a hybrid working basis.

This role would be suitable for a CIPD level 5 HR professional with a background in employee relations, employment legislation, mentoring and training.

The duties of the HR Adviser include:

- Facilitate and lead on employee relations cases, advising managers on best ER practice ensuring that advice given complies with good employment practice, employment legislation and organisation-wide standards
- Interpret and be guided by key HR policies when advising managers on appropriate action in disciplinary, grievance, sickness, performance, change and other employee relations issues
- Project manage workforce related investigations to ensure that they are completed to a high standard and within appropriate timescales
- Support managers in the drafting of formal documentation as appropriate
- Advise managers on change management processes such as service restructuring, relocation, redundancy, and transfers
- Organise, support, and provide advice regarding the full range of formal processes. Attending hearings where necessary to provide HR advice
- Carry out preparatory work related to Employment Tribunal claims and attend Employment Tribunals as appropriate
- Record employee relations activity by type of hearing, outcomes, and demographics
- To advise on national and local terms and conditions of employment
- Establish effective partnership relations with trade union colleagues
- Deliver training on workforce issues including the organisation's Understanding Workforce Policies and Procedures course
- Coach managers to confidently tackle underperformance and workplace conflict
- Lead on and support specific workforce projects

The HR Advisor will ideally have:

- Experience within the public sector
- Experience in a similar role
- CPD Qualified or similar
- Be well versed in employee relations
- Experience of advising on best practices
- Trade union experience
