Join my clients’ dynamic accountancy team in Elgin. A leading firm dedicated to delivering excellence with a number of branches in the North of Scotland.

**Responsibilities**:

- Be the first point of contact with clients queries and escalating queries as appropriate to the correct person
- As a Senior Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the senior management team in driving process enhancements, strategic planning and decision making
- Supporting junior members of the team
- Preparation, support and management of client bookkeeping and VAT returns
- Assistance to clients with month-end and year-end reports
- Provide support during audits and other financial examinations
- The provision of general practice and client administration support

**Requirements**:

- Would suit AAT or part AAT qualified
- Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant, in an Accountancy Practice for a minimum of 3 years
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lead a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
