The main responsibilities of the role are;
- Work towards meeting quality objectives as stated in quality system as applicable.
- Lead, coach and develop the internal OEM business team.
- Support all OEM business customers to ensure product quality, supply and development are managed and communicated to all the internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the growth of the OEM business
- Maintain awareness of the relevance and importance of activities performed and how they contribute to the achievement of quality objectives
- Responsible for providing guidance and instructions to the OEM technical team to ensure that technical liaison and support for all OEM customers at all stages of the product life cycle is shown
- Act as the key conduit for all customer’s interface and ensure close collaboration with internal stakeholders to meet agreed customer commitments on quality, delivery and development of products
- Responsible to ensure all OEM products and projects are conducted in line with Terumo Aortic internal S.O.P.’s and quality framework requirements
- To develop/review and update OEM Operational KPI’s on a monthly basis - providing updates to the OEM Manager on each OEM key account
- Responsible to ensure all OEM products / and overall customer business model’ have accurate and updates costs to ensure true total COGS is measured
- To be familiar with the clinical use and detailed technical aspects of OEM and Terumo Aortic products in order to troubleshoot appropriately and implement process improvements
- Produce accurate and timely project reports which clearly indicate performance against agreed delivery targets e.g. timeline, financial, quality and safety measures
- Perform any other duties/tasks/projects as require by management
- Responsible for resource allocation within the OEM Technical Team
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Engineering Bachelor’s Degree or suitable relevant experience required, Master’s degree preferred
- Black Belt Six Sigma qualified preferred, Green Belt acceptable
- Significant related manufacturing engineering experience essential
- Significant strategic technical, product development and engineering project management experience essential
- Experience of Lean manufacturing principles, i.e. SMED, VM, 5S etc.
- Strong computer skills and industry knowledge
- Excellent communication and customer engagement skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels, including senior executive levels
- Demonstrated success in cross group collaboration, dealing with ambiguity, problem definition and focused solutions
