We have a new opportunity to join us as a **Senior International Tax Manager** on a **Maternity contract **for 1 year. Reporting to the Head of Tax with responsibility for all international tax matters outside North America, including group reporting, country. You will have oversight of international tax compliance and external reporting, including country by country and BEPS Pillar II readiness. Support as required for UK corporate tax compliance.
You will be a Key member of the Ocado Finance team with responsibility for defining and implementing relevant tax policies, ensuring that tax compliance requirements are met and proactive management of tax related risks and opportunities.
Working on a hybrid basis with 2 days in the Hatfield offices and 3 days remote from home This is an exciting opportunity to work in a tax team of 10 within a large FTSE 100 group with great ambition for growth.
**What else will I be doing?**
The primary focus of this maternity cover role is to focus on supporting our current international operations as well as supporting our planned international growth. However, as there are other maternity covers in place, there will also be a wider requirement to cover other corporate tax matters as needed.
Reporting to the Head of Tax, here are some of the responsibilities you can expect in the role:
- Advise on tax landscape in new territories and any commercial risks, to optimise outcomes for the business and identify and deliver relevant commercial opportunities including establishing, quantifying and tracking of all incentives and other beneficial agreements
- Ensure international tax obligations are fulfilled, working closely with Finance colleagues and external advisors (where relevant)
- Management of outsource providers and management of international tax audits
- Deliver international tax aspects of half year and year end reporting and review/maintain transfer pricing model
- Comply with transfer pricing documentation requirements, Provide tax related guidance and expertise to the wider business across all relevant processes (eg. employment, procurement, supply chain)
- Support with tax related queries and be a 'go to' contact for international tax matters
- Develop and deliver training to the business to support (i) tax challenges of operating internationally; and (ii) understanding of and compliance with tax policies and standards
- As a senior manager in the team, you would also be expected to:
- Support the definition and implementation of the tax strategy and tax policies, aligned with overall business objectives and regulatory environment; and Support transformation and business change activities with tax expertise and guidance
- Seek to identify and implement process efficiencies (continuous improvement mindset) and consistently championing Ocado's values and supporting the personal development of team members
***About you**
- Qualified ACA or equivalent and /or CTA with several years' PQE
- Experience of working in a broad international tax environment
- Experience of communicating complex tax issues to non-tax stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and act on your own initiative
- Mindset for continuous learning for themselves, the tax team and the wider Finance community
- Be available to work on a fixed term contract to cover 12 months maternity leave
