The Department of Law, Policing and Investigation is committed to creating opportunities, widening participation to Higher Education and supporting the levelling up agenda, through collaborative provision with our strategic partners. An example of this is the Teesside Policing Clinic, which links into the local police force to ensure student research projects centre around real-world issues.

We have a vacancy for a Lecturer in Policing, who will contribute to our undergraduate and postgraduate provision, with specific expertise in any of the following areas:

- Crime scene investigation
- Curriculum content determined by the Policing Education Qualification Framework (PEQF)
- Policing models

These posts are available as Academic Contracts (PhD essential) to contribute to the School’s growing research activity alongside teaching, or as Teaching, Scholarship and Professional Practice contracts designed to enable staff to focus their work on industry engagement alongside teaching.
