Trainee Carpet Fitter

An exciting role as a Trainee Carpet Fitter to work alongside a supportive team while undertaking an accredited NVQ level 2 qualification.

Main Duties

To learn and understand how to cut, shape and fit underlay, carpets, vinyl fitment and acoustic soundproofing.

The Trainee will be taught how to conduct first and final fitting of carpets on board luxury yachts ranging form 40ft to 40 meters.

The Trainee will be given the opportunity to learn all health and safety aspects, 6S, best working practices, edging and operational planning and execution.

All PPE will be provided and is expected to be worn at all times.

Upholding all health and safety requirements is vital to the role.

All tools required for the role will be provided

The trainee will not only learn carpet fitting but will support the work with the wider team to support on operational needs
- warehouse, transport, stock control and computer systems

Understanding quality control and how to solve common problems, mistakes and issues to ensure the highest level of quality

Work towards the completion of NVQ level 2, undertake in house training plan to working alongside the Technical Training Manager to achieve this.

Driving license in essential for this role

Pay: From £11.44 per hour
