Global Connects Language Services is a provider of professional multilingual solutions for clients. They specialise in translation and interpretation services for written content and oral communication across multiple languages. Focusing on delivering excellent customer experience and tailored services, they help their clients connect globally and locally.

**Role Description**

This freelance Vietnamese Interpreter role requires you to travel around Glasgow and the boarding areas, providing interpreting services in person, and over the phone between speakers of English and non-English languages. The role requires flexibility and adaptability to different cultural contexts and a commitment to delivering exceptional interpretation services to clients.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide interpretation services to facilitate communication between individuals who speak different languages.
- Interpret spoken conversations accurately and efficiently in real-time.
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times.
- Adapt to different interpreting techniques depending on the setting and context.
- Clarify any cultural misunderstandings that may arise during the interpretation process.

**Qualifications**
- Linguistic skills: fluency in English and Vietnamese.
- Interpretation skills: the ability to listen, comprehend, interpret and convey messages accurately, quickly and clearly during consecutive or simultaneous interpretation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Prior experience as an interpreter or translator is preferred.

**Job Types**: Freelance, Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £14.00-£20.00 per hour
