The Role
As a HPC System Administrator, you will have a role that is out of the ordinary. We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to implement, operate and maintain a supercomputing cluster.
**Day-to-day, you will be**:
Deploy and maintain high-performance computing capabilities to support engineering delivery.
Configure and optimize Linux-based HPC environments for maximum performance and reliability.
Monitor system performance and resource utilization, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
Implement security best practices to safeguard HPC systems and data.
Provide technical support and guidance to users, troubleshooting issues and providing timely resolutions.
This role is a full-time position based fully on-site out of our Gosport Site
**Essential experience of the HPC System Administrator**:
Strong experience with-in Linux system administration, with a strong understanding of Linux operating systems.
Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) environments, including cluster management and batch scheduling
Experience with the configuration and optimisation of queue systems, including assisting end users to develop suitable scripts.
Experience with Low Latency/RDMA network technologies
Experience with Linux scripting languages in HPC environments
**Qualifications for the HPC System Administrator**:
