We are recruiting on behalf of a longstanding client in the plastic industry, they specialise in the production of high-quality plastic products. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plastic Injection Moulding Machine Operator to join their team.

Job Description: As a Plastic Injection Moulding Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining plastic injection moulding machines to produce precision plastic components. Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues will ensure the efficient and safe operation of the machinery.

**Responsibilities**:

- Set up and prepare plastic injection moulding machines for production runs according to specifications and job orders.
- Load plastic granules or pellets into hoppers and ensure the correct material is used for each production run.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure smooth running and identify any malfunctions or deviations from standards.
- Perform regular quality checks on the produced components to ensure they meet the required specifications.
- Adjust machine settings, such as temperature and pressure, to optimize production and maintain product quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during production, such as equipment malfunctions or material inconsistencies.
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of the moulding machines to ensure their optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet production targets and deadlines.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Plastic Injection Moulding Machine Operator or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of plastic injection moulding machines, including their operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to interpret basic drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and willingness to follow them diligently.
- Flexibility to work in shifts if required.

2 week rotating shifts

Week 1

6am - 2pm

Week 2

2pm - 10pm
