We are looking for experienced, passionate Early Years Educators / Teaching Assistants to be based within our FS or KS1 for 1:1 SEND. School : 8.45am-3.15pm and Nursery / Preschool : 8.30-3.15pm

**Salary Scale**: EYEd: NJC Scale D or F depending upon experience

**Type of Agreement or Contract**:Supply Contract initially until end of the Summer Term, with the potential of becoming a Fixed Contract in the Autumn Term for the right person.

**Reason**:Increasing SEND needs across school and EY Settings

**Working Time**:8.45-3.15pm School / 8.30-3.15pm PS/N

**Working Weeks**: Term - Time Only + 5 TTD (39 Weeks)

**DBS Required**:Yes

**About the Role**:
We are looking to appoint experienced Early Years Educators with EYFS experience or Teaching Assistants with KS1 experience to enhance our busy, thriving, nurturing school, to support our most vulnerable children with SEND.

We already have a committed team of teaching and non-teaching staff and are keen to recruit someone with a love of life and learning and a great sense of humour

There are an increasing number of children who require additional support, so we would aim to match a successful applicant’s skills to the needs of the child.

We are looking for hard-working practitioners who are passionate about achieving excellent outcomes for all children. The successful applicants will be resilient and great team players. They will be committed to providing the very best for the children in our school and for the local community that we serve.

We are a caring two-form entry Infant School, with a 2-3yr old Preschool Provision, 3-4 yr old Nursery Provision and two 4/5yr old Reception classes.

We have an inclusive, nurturing ethos, within calm, attachment and trauma aware settings. All adults in our school treat each other and children with respect and kindness. We are committed to the emotional, as well as the academic, development of all our children, with SEMH being a high priority across the school and running through the very veins of our settings. The mental health and well-being of children, staff and parents is a constant driving force at Cedars.

We pride ourselves on the CPD that we offer our staff across the school and preschool, with many internal promotions. (Including two of our TAs becoming teachers at our school, and another our Nursery Manager)

Our successful applicant will teach and support children's development and learning from an Attachment and Trauma Informed basis.

Previous experience of working within the EYFS / KS1 is essential, and it is preferable that they have worked with children with SEND.

A minimum of NVQ L2 in EY, or interest in training, is preferable for staff working within our EYFS setting.

All staff are supported through an induction period with an identified 1:1 Mentor and an ongoing cycle of Supervision Meetings with their Line manager, on a regular basis.

**Main roles and responsibilities:

Deliver and participate in play with the children under the over-all direction of the SENDCo and class teacher or setting manager.

To observe each child’s progress and report on their achievement by contributing to each child’s Personal Learning Plan or EHCP and speaking with parents / carers.

To support their line manager in the overall planning of activities which are suitable for the attainment level of the child.

Ensure that resources/materials/equipment are maintained and clean, reporting loss/damage or low stock to supervisor

Attend meetings as required, including parent evenings and training sessions.

Assist children with their meals and encourage good table manners, if required.

Set up and clear away after sessions /activities
- Work within the Children’s Act, adhering to standards and guidelines

- Extensive experience of working within the Foundation Stage / KS1 and in supporting children with SEND.
