We have a new opportunity for a talented Finance Graduate to join our award-wining team in Alconbury Hill.

Reporting to the GB Financial Controller, this role will see you take ownership of the financial reporting and day-to-day financial operations of the Seed division, as well as, assisting the other Divisions as required. You will be responsible for understanding and challenging costs, reporting on those costs as well as maintaining and developing the system of financial controls.

**The Assistant Accountant will assist in the management of the overall accounting function for the Seed division, including**:

- Maintenance and development of an effective accounting function and financial control environment.
- Responsibility for General Ledger in relation to Seed division.
- Provision of timely and accurate financial information.
- Review and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Maintenance of Standard Costings.
- Gross margin reporting and full variance analysis (COGs model reporting).
- Ensuring that all reporting/submission deadlines and requirements are met.
- Preparation of monthly accounts pack for monthly Board meetings.
- Assistance with the production of annual budget.
- Drive cost improvement throughout the business.
- Improve processes by maximising use of system.
- Month end stock reconciliations across multiple ERP systems.
- Analysis of stock transfers between systems.
- Intercompany reconciliations.

**The person**:

- Recent university graduate with a minimum of 2.2 degree.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong IT and analytical skills
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
