Position Available: Geoenvironmental Consultant

GCL are a start-up business, just over 12 months old, and as such you would have the opportunity to become an integral part of the company’s future. We operate primarily in Cornwall and Devon, though we have projects up and down the country.

You would be responsible for writing Phase 1 Desk Studies, as well as on-site supervision of ground investigations including;
- Liaising with subcontractors and landowners
- Production of Risk Assessments and Method Statements
- Logging of soil and rock from exploratory holes in line with BS5930
- Scheduling of chemical and geotechnical samples
- Report writing (the extent of which will be commensurate with your experience)

The following attributes are considered essential;
- Diligence and a keen attention to detail
- Commercial awareness
- A willingness to get out on site (a full UK driving license is essential)
- Ability to write technically
- A laptop
- Smart phone
- Electronic tablet
- Full set of Branded PPE
- All site equipment including notebook, tape measure etc

Our brand new offices are currently under construction and will be ready by April 2023. Therefore initially you may be required to work from home when not on site. You must be willing to commute to Wadebridge at least 3 days per week.

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
