To support and enhance the professional psychological care of clients within the service; providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions (individual and group work) under the supervision of a qualified professional psychologist; working independently according to a plan agreed with a qualified psychologist. To assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of statistics, development of audit and/or research projects, and training and project work. The post-holder will work within Trust policies and procedures.

The Service provides input across the Offender Health Directorate into the SMT across a number of prison estates. The post-holder will be part of a vibrant busy team of professionals and will be required to work alongside and under the supervision of qualified clinical or forensic psychologists in relation to one or more clinical teams.

You should be enthusiastic, motivated, person-focused and enjoy a challenge. Previous knowledge or experience of Mental health, Substance misuse or Forensic/ Secure services is beneficial.

The Offender Health Directorate is one of the largest and most successful providers of prison healthcare in the UK. The Directorate provide physical, mental health and substance misuse healthcare services in prisons across the East Midlands, Lincolnshire & Leicestershire.

The Directorate provides healthcare to 9 prisons and a short term holding facility. You are part of a large peer group of 400+ healthcare professionals with access to peer support, supervision and excellent opportunities for learning and development. We also offer services within the Personality Disorder Pathway, including Therapeutic Communities (within prisons), Community and Prison Personality Disorder services and specialist Veteran Services.
