Mears provides temporary accommodation to asylum seekers whilst their claim is being assessed. In May 2021, Mears had over 19000 service users across five regions: Northwest, Yorkshire and Humber, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. Mears work in partnership with central and local Government, registered providers, tenants, landlords and investors to find solutions to homelessness, provide more social and affordable housing and create specialist housing for people with care needs.

**Key Responsibilities
** - Accommodation Coordinator
- Responsible for allocating bed spaces to Service Users quickly to minimise loss of income, ensuring you work closely with the regional teams and the Transport Team to move Service Users in smoothly and efficiently.
- Keeping safeguarding and Service User experience at the heart of the service will be key to succeeding in this role.
- Ensure all Service User notifications are processed accurately and efficiently to match the Service User to a bed space.
- Provide information and respond to queries in relation to bed space allocations, working with Regional Teams to resolve supply issues.
- Delivery of performance and service reporting as requested by line manager, escalating all risks and concerns.
- Working collaboratively with Regional and Service Delivery Centre Teams to deliver a seamless service meeting the individual and property needs of all our service users.

- **Accommodation Coordinator
- Worked within housing / property.
- Experience within an administration environment.
- Customer service experience.
- Social housing background (Desirable).

**As part of the recruitment process for this role, we will carry out a DBS & BPSS check, as well as Security Clearance. For these checks to be completed, we will require from you the relevant identification, including Proof of Address, References, a valid passport and proof that you have lived in the UK for the last 5 years.
To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
