An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Nursing Risk and Quality Division for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to be a Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement Coordinator and work alongside the Head of Patient & Public Involvement & Engagement Lead (PPI/E)
The post holder will frequently be the first point of contact for key stakeholders (including our public contributors), exhibiting excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and developing excellent working relations, dealing with complex and sensitive information.

This is a busy and demanding role and the post holder will need to have a flexible approach to work. Experience in services, community or voluntary environment is essential; previous experience in a health care setting would be an advantage.

The post holder will provide a dedicated, professional, efficient, and effective support for patient and public involvement and engagement activities in clinical services to the Head of Patient & Public Involvement & Engagement Lead (PPI/E).

- Provide and receive complex information where persuasive or reassuring skills may be required and deal with sensitive issues where there are barriers to understanding.
- Administer and coordinate PPIE activities, including organizing and administering PPIE workgroups/focus groups on behalf of clinical, nursing, or other professional staff and managing requests from professionals for PPIE support. This may include advertising, administering registrations, invites and evaluations, record outcomes and provide reports.
- Type and circulate papers, minutes, timetables, memoranda, etc. for meetings, and support/prepare PowerPoint presentations and other materials.
- Network with and coordinate PCAG - being the first point of contact, sending requests, scheduling meetings, sending invites, circulating papers; compiling reports, i.e., collecting, synthesizing and summarizing patient and public contributions and professionals’ feedback and involvement, including recommendations.
- Network with and coordinate the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Patient and Public Contributors Group and other patient, public, partnership, and professional groups, as and when required - scheduling meetings, sending invites, circulating papers, writing minutes/notes; compiling reports, i.e., collecting, synthesizing, and summarizing patient and public contributions and professionals’ actions and ideas, including recommendations.
