Follow all Tamba Day Nursery policies and procedures.
- Ensure the children’s safety, wellbeing and development is paramount.
- To prepare lunch and tea food for the children at the Nursery and follow the nursery menu.
- To transport the all means to the various rooms within the nursery.
- To collect all used equipment from the rooms after meals has been finished
- To leave the kitchen in a clean and hygienic state and follow Cleaning rota.
- To be responsible for preparing weekly shopping, list of food and supplies for the week ahead. (This should be given to management no later than Thursday morning.
- To cater to the needs of children with dietary, medical or religious food requirements. Follow policy for managing dietary requirements.
- To check and record the following and record it on forms provided, examples attached:

- Daily risk assessment
- Food Temperate (every meal)
- Freezer and Fridge temperatures (daily)
- Cleaning rotas; daily, weekly and monthly
- Kitchen risk assessment
- Weekly dietary information (ensure this is in the kitchen Monday morning
- To ensure a high level of hygiene in the kitchen at all times, following all environmental health procedures and directives including the keeping of food samples.
- To follow kitchen routine which makes up a part of your job description.
- To cover any rooms when instructed.
- To take part in any training that is relevant to the further development of your knowledge on Food Hygiene issues

**Salary**: £11.00-£13.00 per hour
