Hgv Technician

Our client are looking for a HGV Technician with experience of working on large, 7.5t and up, automotive vehicles. On offer is the chance to work for a progressive company who provide their engineers with excellent training and great career development opportunities.You will be required to undertake the service, retro-fitting and subsequent testing of a range of large vehicles and must have previous experience working in a practical workshop based role on heavy goods vehicles. It is important that you have an enhanceddriving licence to transport larger vehicles and are happy with occasional travel.
HGV Technician - Role and Responsibilities - Automotive / Vehicle Technician / Heavy Goods / Large Vehicles
- Checking electrical condition and then carrying out planned electrical work
- Fault finding on a range of low voltage systems
- Ensuring day to day issues with Engineering / Quality / Purchasing / Stores are logged and resolved with preventative actions in place
- Monitor & maintain department consumable stock / tooling levels
- Complete testing on vehicles (Category C or D Driving Licence is essential)
- Travelling to site to service and maintain vehicles in the field
HGV Technician - Skills and Abilities - Automotive / Vehicle Technician / Heavy Goods / Large Vehicles
- A recognised engineering qualification
- Mechanical Engineers with Electrical experience or preferably Electrical Engineers with Mechanical experience
- Category C and/or D driving licence
- Knowledge of and ability to inspect and re-fit transmission components
- HGV experience required
