Cad Technician

We are currently seeking a CAD Technician for our client; a leading manufacturing that supply equipment to various engineering sectors..
- Day-to-day activities and the role output the individual is expected to deliver_
- Production of project specific/tender CAD based drawings/3D Models, including layouts, assembly and detailed fabrication and construction drawings in accordance with Customer’s requirements and Company Standards and Practices
- Preparation of Bills of Materials and other tender/project specific documents
- Ensuring that in-house or third party prepared drawings are comprehensive and accurately represent engineering and design intent
- Delivering within defined programmes
- Liaising with the engineering team (office and site-based) on technical matters

**Qualifications**
- Competent CAD Technician with a HNC/HND Qualification (or equivalent) and/or can demonstrate experience in a similar role will be considered
- Proficient in current engineering design and drafting software packages, such as AutoCAD Mechanical 2013 onwards and Inventor, and has a reasonable knowledge of work processes, fabrication and construction capabilities
- The ability to understand and interpret technical data, including reading design drawings
- Able to create drawings with constructability and spatial awareness in mind
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Capability to handle multiple tasks with limited supervision, and to work independently as well as within a cohesive team
- Demonstrate effective organisation skills, and have a methodical approach to work
- Strong PC skills, particularly with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
