Sheq Advisor

BFT Mastclimbing Ltd is currently recruiting for a SHEQ Advisor for the Northern Region.

The individual will be responsible for advising the Management Team on all Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality matters ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, client standards and company procedures.
- Responsibility for the day to day safety, quality & environmental aspects in the Northern Region
- General duties under the Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and other legislation
- Provide day-to-day advice and guidance to BFT North operations teams on occupational health, safety, environmental and quality matters.
- Attend & conduct safety meetings/briefings as required.
- Carry out risk assessments and consider how risks could be reduced
- Carry out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented
- Keep records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements.
- Compile accident/incident reports and implement loss prevention measures.
- Ensure equipment is installed safely
- Maintain Safety documentation and ensure compliance
- To reinforce safe working practices in all areas & is an ardent champion of safety.
- Assisting in the identification of new competency requirements as a requirement of new standards or legislation,
- Organise and deliver IPAF MCWP/Hoist training to employees and customers
- Any other duties commensurate with the role

Minimum Experience Required: At least 3 years of Safety experience within the MCWP/Construction industries with significant exposure to people and project management issues

Preferred Education Requirements: NEBOSH or Equivalent Safety Management Experience and/or Membership level of IOSH or IIRSM. IPAF MCWP Instructor (Non-essential but training will be given)

Required Technical Skills: Full Driving License

Pay: £38,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
