Overview

2fawcett are recruiting for a Graphics & Design Coordinator for a business based in Sheffield. As Graphics & Design Coordinator you will maintain the design, development and the provision of comprehensive, accurate and timely customer facing service information products.

These information products will be both printed and electronic to agreed standards ensuring that internal client and stakeholder requirements are satisfied to meet the overall business objectives of a local Authority and the internal client requirements as set out in service level agreements. Ideally you will have Service Delivery experience along with working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite in a production environment.

The role and responsibilities of the Graphics & Design Coordinator
- Responsible for the design, development and the provision of comprehensive, accurate and timely customer facing service information products both printed and electronic in order to meet the deliverables of the business plan and Information Strategy.
- Ensure accurate product availability and distribution and report on performance to the Service Information Manager to ensure that resource can be deployed effectively.
- Perform detailed proof reading of material intended for publication ensuring accuracy prior to publication.
- Actively contribute to the development of the Service Information System (SIS) and Geographical Information System (GIS) in order to maximise efficiency of its output for delivery of service information products.
- Implement new developments to service information products in order to complement existing technology and integrate with other information systems to promote customer satisfaction.
- Maintain, develop and ensure the correct use of the Service Information Iconography and Pictogram suite to ensure the production of consistent and compliant service information products.
- Deliver as directed internal client and stakeholder requests for mapping products in order to promote objectives and increase awareness of public transport opportunities.
- Liaise with the technology providers in the desk-top publishing, cartographic design and printing industry in order to ensure that the most appropriate working practices are established and developed to support efficiency
- Operate the print production function of service information products in order to ensure the timely and high-quality production of all print outputs.
- Develop and maintain an efficient stock control system for published material in order to minimise wastage.
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role as requested by management.

The requirements of the Graphics & Design Coordinator
- Educated to HNC level or equivalent qualification in Graphic Design or equivalent
- Educated to HNC level or equivalent qualification in Graphic Design or equivalent
- Understanding of public transport timetable and map-based information
- Good knowledge of the production of printed
- Knowledge of GIS data
- Previous relevant experience in the compilation and production of customer facing literature
- Previous experience within a service delivery environment
- Previous experience of using Adobe Creative Suite in a production environment
- Previous experience in the use of GIS or equivalent geographic information software
- Previous experience of managing projects
- Experience in the development and maintenance of a corporate information iconography suite What
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to deal with difficult and sensitive situations in an appropriate manner
- Ability to adopt an effective approach to problem-solving, adapting to changes in circumstances or information.
- Ability to present complex information in a creative, attractive and usable format, taking into account plain English guidelines
- Ability to isolate, analyse and solve problems under demanding conditions and to determine actions to mitigate their future impact
- Analysis and reporting skills sufficient to determine and communicate required actions to meet business or technical changes or in response to exception report affecting service delivery
- High professional standards with the ability to work on own initiative and perform duties with a high degree of tact and diplomacy

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
