Clinical Associate Psychologist

The post holder will be responsible for assisting in providing highly specialist psychology services to adults with acute mental health problems, their families and carers. They will work semi-autonomously alongside Acute Inpatient Psychology colleagues. The role will involve provision of psychological therapy, Positive Behaviour Support, and delivering training. The role also involves monitoring and evaluation. The post holder will work in collaboration with colleagues, service users, carers, the Multidisciplinary ward teams and other services and partner organisations towards the overall provision of evidence based, cost effective service. They will provide direct interventions such as psychological assessments and brief psychological interventions, psychology groups as well as indirect interventions such as case discussions and serious incident debriefs

The role is in Kent and Medway NHS partnership Trust working on the acute inpatient wards. There are 3 wards in KMPT, Canterbury, Littlebrook and Maidstone. The role will be based on one site predominantly.
