People Co-ordinator | South Lincolnshire

An exciting new opportunity has become available to join a long-standing, fresh produce business with operations worldwide. With some exciting plans developing within the business, now would be a fantastic time to join them on the journey.

We're seeking an experienced People Co-Ordinator/HR Advisor who will be responsible for support in the strategic and operational management of their People Function. It would be advantageous if you have previous experience within FMCG, food production or manufacturing.
- Level 3 CIPD or higher
- 5+ years of HR experience in a generalist role
- Strong knowledge of UK/EU employment laws and regulations
- Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations
- Experience gained within FMCG/food production/produce/manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of payroll process

So what will the role entail?

The role is responsible for providing high quality, objective and robust support to ensure the business develops and retains great people. The main factory operates for 24 hours a day, 364 days per year. There are also 2 smaller satellite operations in the local area. The total headcount is circa 195 personnel.
- Play a key role in the recruitment process.
- Ensure an effective induction for all new starters.
- Manage the leaver process for resignations.
- Act as an advisor through the development of effective relationships with managers.
- Partner with managers to efficiently handle employee relation.
- Monitor and record absence for all staff in the department and manage any queries arising from this (absences include sick, long term sick, maternity/paternity, parental, unpaid or other leave).
- Participate in the absence management process.
- Conduct internal investigations.
- Assist with the organization and planning of L&D initiatives, courses, and communications.
- Support for both internal and external audits with information relating to the People Function and payroll.
- Participate in the formation of the Workers Committee.
- Implementing initiatives to improve the employee experience and wellness.
- Liaison with labour providers and contractors as required.
- Other projects or activities as may be required to fulfil the needs of the business but in line with the skills and experience of the job-holder.
- Co-ordinate all external training requirements for the Spalding site, including booking of external training, sending out reminders for refresher training, undating training matrix and records.
- Booking hotel accommodation for external and internal visitors to the site.
- Overseeing the reception/administration processes, providing support and guidance where necessary.
- Overseeing high profile visits to site to ensure that all requirements are met.
- Maintaining PPE records, co-ordinating with the Health and Safety Manager on ordering of new items.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. It also offers hybrid working of one day per week after sucesful probationary period.
