We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Service Owner to join our team. You will be accountable for meeting the needs of our users and stakeholders through the quality and performance of our services, with the opportunity to manage the end-to-end user journey, incorporating both online and offline products as part of our overall service design.
As a Service Owner, you will work within our Operational Senior Management Teams, operating services at scale and connecting multidisciplinary business functions that contribute to the service design, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to set strategy and objectives aligned with user needs and business goals. Your expertise in financial ownership will ensure value delivery in service development and delivery.

Main duties of the role
- Agile Working: You have an awareness of agile working practices and can collaborate with agile delivery teams. Your innovative mindset enables you to achieve the right outcomes and advocate for agile approaches.
- Financial Ownership: You can develop business cases, identify financial costs, and deliver value throughout the service life cycle.
- Life-cycle Perspective: Your experience in multiple parts of the service life cycle allows you to determine objectives, deliverables, and engage with stakeholders effectively.
- Operational Management: You champion operational management, act as an escalation point for major operational issues, and collaborate with service delivery teams.
- Problem Ownership: You anticipate and articulate problems, build problem-solving capabilities, and utilize professional experts to solve them.
- Strategic Ownership: You can develop long-term visions and objectives aligned with service and business goals.
- User Focus: You have experience meeting user needs across various channels and bring expertise in understanding changing user needs.
- Stakeholder Management: You build positive relationships, manage expectations, and engage with senior stakeholders to promote and champion the service.

**Job purpose**:
The post holder will be accountable for meeting the needs of users and stakeholders through the quality and performance of their service. They will be responsible for managing the end-to-end user journey, which may include both online and offline products as part of the overall service design. They will be passionate about the delivery of user centred services and the continuous improvements that provide outcomes for users, stakeholders and business.
The post holder will work within Operational Senior Management Teams, operating services at scale and providing the connection between multidisciplinary business functions that contribute to the overall service design. They will be required to identify and manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. The post holder is expected to work with internal and external stakeholders to set strategy and objectives in line with user needs and business goals. They will be responsible for understanding and managing budget for ongoing service delivery and access to change resources based on decisions about service priorities. They will gather and communicate the benefits, outcomes, and performance of their service.
