As a Domiciliary Health Care Assistant, your primary role is to provide essential care and support to individuals in their own homes. You will work closely with clients who require assistance with various aspects of daily living, including personal care, health monitoring, and emotional support. Your compassionate and dedicated approach will contribute to enhancing the quality of life for those under your care.

We have full-time and part-time work available, supporting people in their own homes with care that enables them to live a fulfilled life and promoting their independence with person centered care.

**Responsibilities**:

- Personal Care - Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Respect their privacy, dignity, and cultural preferences throughout the process.
- Medication Management - Administer medications to clients according to prescribed schedules, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Monitor and record any side effects or changes in their health condition, promptly reporting concerns to healthcare professionals and the office.
- Meal Preparation - Prepare nutritious meals and snacks based on clients' dietary requirements and preferences. Ensure proper food handling, storage, and hygiene practices. Assist with feeding if necessary.
- Mobility Assistance - Help clients with mobility challenges by providing physical support, utilizing mobility aids, and implementing prescribed exercises or rehabilitation plans. Promote safe movement and fall prevention strategies.
- Emotional Support - Establish a trusting relationship with clients, offering emotional support, companionship, and actively listening to their concerns. Provide encouragement and engage in activities that promote mental well-being.
- Domestic Support - Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a clean and organized living environment for clients. Ensure home safety by identifying and addressing potential hazards.
- Transportation - Accompany clients to medical appointments, social outings, or other necessary errands. Safely assist clients in and out of vehicles and ensure their comfort during transportation.
- Documentation - Maintain accurate and detailed records of the care provided, including daily activities, observations, and any changes in clients' health or behavior. Share relevant information with healthcare professionals and team members.
- Communication: Collaborate effectively with client's families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care. Report any significant developments or concerns promptly and seek guidance when needed.

**Requirements**:

- Empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills to establish rapport with clients.
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans while demonstrating adaptability to changing circumstances.
- Reliable transportation to travel to client's homes.
- Clear background check and references.

**Working Between**:
07:00am - 22:00pm this role is paid £12.15 - £13.15ph - weekly.

Various shift patterns to fit around you.

This is not term time.

Requirement to work every other weekend.

You must drive and have access to a car, however full training, and induction to care provided for anyone new or experienced to care work.
