**Role** - Nursery Room Leader

**Hours** - Full time - 40 hours (Monday to Friday)

**Salary** - £23,961.60 to £24,500 per annum (Depending on experience and qualification)

Your role as a **Nursery Room Leader** will include:

- To be responsible for the day-to-day management of their own room encouraging good practice and being a good role model.
- To ensure regular communication and interaction with parents to update them on their child’s progress.
- Promote positive working relationships with the parents and staff within your room.
- Supervise children at play indoor and outdoor, and at meal times to ensure safety.
- Supervise your team to ensure that children’s work is displayed effectively.
- Ensure that any food served is monitored and we conform to Food Safety regulations.
- Take responsibility and support the staff in your room in planning appropriate activities for the children, following the EYFS framework.
- To take charge of own key worker group and inform parents and other staff of any other relevant information.
- Maintain children’s records inclusive of observations and their next steps. Be responsible for creating an attractive and stimulating environment.
- In the absence of the nursery manager/deputy nursery Manager, assist with the overall running of the nursery and supervision of the team.

**Requirements**:

- Have experience working with children birth to 5 years
- Must hold a minimum L3 childcare qualification
- Ability to develop and deliver an engaging activity plan in accordance to the EYFS
- Ability to communicate with children and parents
- Work well within a team
- Basic IT skills

Pay: £23,961.60-£24,500.00 per year
