Dispatch Operator

Techxi is a ground transportation company that provides specialist transport, ride hailing services via an app and traditional taxi booking services across the South West & Wales. We are an ambitious and growing company and we are looking for a person that matches our aspiration.

**Responsibilities**:

- Schedule and dispatch vehicles and drivers to pick up clients at specified locations and times
- Monitor the progress of each trip and provide drivers with updated information as needed
- Respond promptly to any changes or problems that may arise during the course of a trip, such as traffic delays or last-minute route changes
- Maintain accurate records of all trips, including pick-up and drop-off times, client information, and driver details
- Communicate effectively with clients, drivers, and other team members to ensure that all trips are completed on time and to the satisfaction of our clients
- Monitor the performance of our fleet and identify areas for improvement in terms of efficiency, safety, and customer service
- Use dispatch software to optimize routes and allocate vehicles effectively

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a dispatch or transportation role preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and other dispatch software

Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 7am - 4pm

The role of a dispatcher for Techxi is similar to that of an air traffic controller in many ways. Both require individuals who can remain calm under pressure and communicate effectively with a team of drivers or pilots. Just as air traffic controllers must manage the flow of planes in and out of airports, dispatchers must coordinate the movement of vehicles on the ground. Both roles require a keen attention to detail and the ability to think on your feet in response to unexpected changes or emergencies.

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
